Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin is a public (State-owned) university with full-time, intramural system of study. The level of qualifi- cation held: master’s degree program; diploma of higher education; long cycle programme.

    

At present, Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin has over 670 students of English Program at both Medicine and Dentistry Faculties. Over 450 students have already successfully graduated from Pomeranian Medical University. Each year, the University ofers 120 seats at the Faculty of Medicine English Program and 30 seats at the Faculty of Medicine for Asklepios Program. Tis programme has been drafted only for German citizens. Tere are 30 seats available for the newcomers at the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry.

    

English Program students come from over 30 countries, mainly from Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Faroe Islands and Finland) Austria, Germany, Latvia, Italy, Spain but also from non-European countries such as Canada, China, Egypt, Israel, Kyrgyzstan, Syria, USA.

   

The Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin (PUM) is the best university in the West Pomeranian Region. Running 13 directions, it teaches more than five thousands students.

Studium

There are two faculties at the University which offer studies in English:

  1. Faculty of Medicine. English Program (since 1996) and Asklepios Program (since 2013)
  2. Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry (since 2006)

  

English Program students follow the same curriculum as Polish Program students, meaning they follow the same clinical and theoretical courses throughout 6 and 5 years of education at the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry respectively. Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin offers curriculum compatible with EU directives including ECTS system. Poland, as a member of European Union, shall remain in full force and effect of the Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 2005 on the recognition of professional qualifcations.
