Attracting young talent

We are increasingly integrating forums on professional fields into the vocatium fairs. By means of presentations, hands-on stations or competitions, you can offer students first-hand future prospects, visions and trends on key topics such as STEM, health, communication, social affairs and business. Our exhibitors play an active role in shaping these themed forums!

Special fairs are vocatium focus fairs, which are primarily dedicated to one or two of the aforementioned occupational fields, and nordjob Bau in Neumünster.

vocatium videochat combines the tried-and-tested fair concept with the special opportunity of digital communication. As for our face-to-face fairs, we preparethe students in class for the one-day afternoon event and then arrange tailor-made and scheduled meetings with them. With the parentum fairs, you can reach the important target group of parents with children of career choice age. As a training company, technical college or university etc., you can inform mothers, fathers and children about your educational offers in one-to-one discussions and presentations. The young people who attend our parentum fairs are usually between 14 and 20 years old. The fairs, which usually last four hours, take place on weekdays in the afternoon or on Saturday mornings. Young people should try things out to find out what their talents are. This helps them in their career choices. We therefore open our vocatium and parentum fairs to foreign providers who provide information about opportunities such as work & travel, au pair, voluntary services or internships abroad. We also welcome associations, organizations and other institutions that would like to show young people where they can volunteer or complete a voluntary social year (FSJ) at home or abroad.

The “Opportunities in ...” handbooks bundle the educational offers of our exhibitors. One book is published per fair and handed over to the young people personally during the school visits. The total print run for 2024 is around 450,000 copies. As an exhibitor, you are represented in it with a one-page profile. Additional pages or the spine of the book can be booked.

As a vocatium exhibitor, you can also present yourself in our search portal with a digital profile, similar to the printed fair handbooks. This is included in the scope of services. You have the opportunity to introduce yourself more comprehensively to the students with audio and video contributions and to add links. The search portal is integrated into our homepage www.erfolg-im-beruf.de and is advertised during our school visits for the vocatium fairs.

Every year, we award a vocatium training prize to training companies and their trainees under the motto “Why I love my training”. Encourage your trainees to write short texts in which they talk about why they chose their training or career goal and what they particularly love about it.

Current aspects of career guidance are discussed at our vocatium tagungen. In 2024, the conferences will take place in several cities across Germany. The theme for 2024: “Awakening STEM interest: getting students excited about mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology.” Participation is free of charge. - The theme for 2025 will be: Sustainable career guidance.

Our activities are supported by well-known personalities and institutions. Bettina Stark-Watzinger, Federal Minister of Education and Research, is the national patron of our fairs. In many places, we are also supported by representatives from state ministries and city councils. Our partners also include many employment agencies, chambers of industry and commerce, chambers of skilled trades and employers' associations. The Kuratorium Schule-Wirtschaft-Politik also supports us.
