Workshops and extra curricular
places of learning

Now more than ever, teachers are important partners when it comes to job orientation for their students. From 6th or 7th grade onwards, students are guided towards the job market. Making them politically interested and responsible adults is one of the main goals of public education. The IfT Institut für Talententwicklung is supporting these tasks in various ways:

Fairs for training+study

Face 2 Face

At nordjob and vocatium fairs, students get into contact with professionals who already had training / did studies in the fields of expertise that are of interest for students. In lectures and individual interviews students get informed and might find their future profession. There are around 75 nordjob and vocatium fairs annually.

Prepare for your talks. Our workshops and guides  (printed and online), our Search area  and our Learning Game will help you

Job orientation days
for parents and students

Parents are actively involved

Parents are important counselors when it comes to finding the proper profession for their children. At parentum events parents get support in finding a vocation for their children together with their children. Duration of parentum events is 4 hours each, weekdays from 3 – 7 pm or Saturdays from 9.30 am – 1.30 pm.

Workshops for
job orientation

Good preparation

Part of our service are workshops helping students with job orientation. Various themes are possible, e.g. workshops about the application process, body language or communication.

In addition, parent events are visited by employees of the IfT as well. A total of 18,000 workshops are held each year. You can find further information here.

In addition, mentors projects are organized.

Our Serious Game

Serious Game-App for career choice

Job orientation should be fun. vocatium2go/nordjob2go is simulating a visit to the fair and serves as preparation for the interviews at the fair. A test concerning job orientation is part of the app as well. The game can be downloaded for free.

Our teaching aids

Help for students

Guides make it easier for teachers to design career-oriented lessons. In addition, materials for individual school subjects with references to career choices are published. Professional exhibitions with accompanying booklets enable a deepening of career choice lessons on specific topics.

Learning out of school – bauma 2019

THINK BIG!

Next year the construction industry’s worldwide biggest fair is taking place again attracting more than 500,000 visitors over the course of 3 years. In 2019, the bauma is opening its doors once again for schools to find a special place to learn out of school and present an exciting program for students known as THINK BIG! Schools from all over Bavaria, Baden-Wuerttemberg and Austria are free to visit the fair. Bus transfer and admittance is free for participating students. Additionally, participating teachers will be prepared by a teaching guide provided by the Klett-Verlag and a special event giving information. Preparing schools and organizing the event is the IfT’s job. For additional information, please contact Mrs. Anne Fuchs, Tel.: 089 20062297 or a.fuchs@if-talent.de
